How does it work?

A CURO measures muscle and ligament activity in real-time, and enables analysis of recorded data through an ESTi-score.

Efficiency/coordination is represented as the E-parameter (signal “on” versus “off”), signal amplitude as the S-parameter (spatial summation; number of fibres recruited), signal firing frequency as the T-parameter (temporal summation).

  For ligaments only the signal amplitude (S-parameter) is relevant. In the figure above, the low S-score (4.4) for the right side (R) clearly identifies an injured ligament.
